Speciality Waffle Cones at Emack & Bolio's
Emack & Bolio's was formed in Boston in 1975 by Bob Rook, a music lawyer. Back then, the clubs closed at midnight so Bob rented a basement, bought a commercial ice cream machine and invited musicians to try his concoctions after their gigs. They would play acoustic music, eat ice cream and hang out until the wee hours of the morning. As for the name, two homeless men that the lawyers did pro bono work for asked that the ice cream be named after them. Emack & Bolio's was born. I had never had an ice cream cone with marshmallows and rice krispies on it, but let me tell you, it was amazing. No words can describe just how much I enjoyed every single second of eating this ice cream. The calories were all worth it! I chose the Almond Coconut Bar and the Serious Chocolate Addiction (with chocolate chips and fudge chunks). If Rice Krispies on your cone is not your thing, you can also choose from Oreos, Fruit Loops, Fruity Pebbles or chocolate & nuts or sprinkles.
