Today I had my first-ever taste of snow cream. Not ice cream, nor shave ice, but snow cream, which is a combination of the two. It's made with Hudson Valley 1% milk, rather than milk powder which is a huge plus. When I first walked in, I was shocked at the size of the regular ($5 plus toppings), which is the smallest size. It's huge. The worker laughed and assured me that people had no trouble finishing the regular size on their own. We weren't arguing at the possibility of eating a gigantic amount of snow cream so my friend and I each got one, not willing to share one between us. The snow cream comes in several different flavors, including Yeti Tracks (an unconventional spin on cookies 'n cream with blueberries), black toasted sesame, green tea, and New York cheesecake. I chose the black toasted sesame and added peaches, peanut butter (which is made in-house) and chocolate Pocky sticks. What a dessert! After eating a meal of pasta before coming here, I appreciated how light the snow cream is. Because it doesn't have a high fat content like ice cream, it won't leave you feeling too full, just satisfied. I can't wait to go back and try their other toppings and flavors, including fruity pebbles, Nilla wafers and homemade Chinese sweet rice balls. Dessert heaven.
