Cotton Candy Creations at Ruimilk

Cotton Candy Creations at Ruimilk

Fans of cotton candy (or candy floss as it's also known), can't go past these adorable creations at Ruimilk in Flushing, Queens. First you choose your soft-serve flavor, vanilla or chocolate, or you can get a twist of both like I did. Then choose your cotton candy 'rui'. As well as the super cute panda ($5.75), there's also a pink tutu, a dreamy balloon and the 'Thunder Bomb'.

While waiting for my Panda Rui to be made, I first noticed Ruimilk's strict hygiene. Not only did the worker wear gloves when assembling the cotton candy, but he also wore a mask covering his nose and mouth. I really appreciated this!

I'll be honest: you come to Ruimilk for the cotton candy, not the ice cream. The soft-serve was very standard, and nothing special. However, I loved my cotton candy panda! The chocolate used for the facial features is of a high quality, and tastes very good. I almost felt bad biting into the head of a panda, but that feeling soon dissipated and was replaced by feeling like a kid at the school fair. Pure bliss!
